The End of the Thirds ( and domination)

The final game of the thirds saw the championship winning rink without it's skip.  Team Hicks took full advantage and gave the McOmish squad their first loss and in the process administered a thrashing.  The final score being 16 - 2.  

Personally, I think Adam just got confused and thought that he was already playing in the Shots Competition (which starts on Fri 31st Jan).

EL Knockout round 1

Congratulations to Aberlady and East Linton as the winners who will go forward to play each other in the Semi Final on 16th Feb at 3pm.  There they will join Yester and Dirleton who got byes and will play in the other Semi.  The Final will be played straight after at 5.15pm.

The very experienced Athelstaneford side, played aggressively were beaten by a much younger and laid back team from Aberlady.

Happy New Year Steak Pies

 

In the club's first outing of the New Year it was perhaps appropriate for Team McOmish to secure The Thirds Crown.  It was a game of two halves, but Team John including John Good, Gavin Morton and the hybrid Maguire/Wood came out of the blocks strongly.  They secured the first four ends before conceding the last three.  As a result with wins in their first three games and faltering of the opposition win the first Pies of 2025. (with a game still in hand)
